Exploria at Mandai Wildlife Reserve: Singapore’s New Interactive Museum Redefining Nature Education in 2026

A 10,000-Square-Metre Leap into Immersive Learning

Singapore’s educational tourism landscape has received a monumental addition with the launch of Exploria, a 10,000-square-metre indoor multimedia hub at Mandai Wildlife Reserve. Opening its doors on 3 March 2026, this nature-themed attraction represents one of Southeast Asia’s largest immersive learning destinations, blending cutting-edge technology with science-led storytelling to explore the hidden systems of life on Earth.

Unlike conventional museums, Exploria issues each visitor an RFID wristband upon entry, enabling the creation of a personalised digital avatar. Guests earn badges and medals as they navigate five distinct immersive worlds, with achievements stored in their profiles for an entire year—a gamification strategy designed to encourage repeat visits and sustained engagement.

Five Worlds of Discovery

The attraction is anchored by a central hub called Our Interconnected World, where the Biopool—a four-metre LED globe—responds to human touch with visible pulses of light, symbolising the profound link between humanity and nature. This globe also features in Exploria’s signature light and sound show, The Planet Awakens.

Realm of the Giants transports visitors to the age of prehistoric dinosaurs and colossal sea creatures through monumental installations and augmented reality windows. An eight-minute, 360-degree standing theatre experience condenses 500 million years of evolutionary history into a breathtaking visual journey.

At the opposite end of the scale, Micro Worlds magnifies hidden microbial and invertebrate ecosystems using interactive glass orbs and projection domes, revealing plankton, insect colonies, fungi, and bacteria that normally escape the naked eye. Bitdeer AI Extreme Frontiers offers virtual expeditions to Earth’s most challenging environments, from demoiselle cranes migrating at high altitudes to Namaqua chameleons thermoregulating in deserts.

On the second level, Infinite Wonderland uncovers wildlife concealed within foliage and reefscapes, while World of Darkness immerses visitors in a pitch-black labyrinth exploring life in deep caves and ocean trenches.

Practical Information for Educational Visitors

Exploria operates from 11am to 8pm on weekdays and until 9pm on weekends and public holidays. Tickets are priced at S$38 for adults and S$28 for children and students, with discounts available for local WildPass members. For families and school groups seeking a comprehensive educational experience, the attraction’s integration with Mandai’s broader ecosystem—including the Singapore Zoo and River Wonders—offers unmatched opportunities for cross-disciplinary learning.
